Black Cow Vodka has launched its Black Cow Cup 2019 bartending competition. Celebrating its remarkably smooth flavour profile, entrants will be challenged to think about how the senses affect taste, and will need to create a drink utilising sound in an innovative way.

Black Cow, the world’s smoothest vodka, launches its 2019 Black Cow Cup Cocktail Competition Synesthesia: Sonic cocktails, if music be the food of love, play on. In celebration of its remarkably smooth flavour profile, entrants will be challenged to think about how the senses affect taste, and will need to create a drink utilising sound in an innovative way.
They will need to heighten the sensation; engaging smell, taste, texture, sound, sight and memory. Formally The Gold Top Cup this competition celebrates bartending excellence from around the world. Now in its 4th year, entrants compete in regional heats with the winners from each individual
final being invited to The Black Cow Cup Grand Final on the 5th and 6th September. This will be held at The Black Cow Distillery, Bar + Kitchen situated in the beautiful West Dorset countryside.
Whilst there, finalists will divide their time between the Black Cow Distillery, Bar + Kitchen and Mangerton House. This stunning house is nestled in a beautiful valley just outside the Dorset seaside town of Bridport and is where the finalists will spend the night before battling it out for the trophy. The winner will be awarded the coveted Black Cow Cup as well as a prize of $1,500.
Online applications are now live on the Black Cow website https://www.blackcow.co.uk/apply, and must be completed for review by 31st July. Heats will be held in August with the grand final to be held on the 5th and 6th September at The Black Cow Distillery, Bar + Kitchen.
