Regularly voted as the Best Bar in the World - this is your chance to have a taste of the infamous Dead Rabbit.
- The Sun Tavern, 441 Bethnal Green Road, London, E2 0AN
After a string of successful collaborations this year including Claridges and The Westbury, Dublin, The Dead Rabbit will be venturing East and going back to the bar’s roots. The Dead Rabbit’s beverage director, Jillian Vose, will be joining The Sun Tavern for a night of revelry and a guest shift behind the bar. A bespoke cocktail menu curated around Slane Irish Whiskey from Brown Forman will see three of Jillian’s cocktails accompanied by three of The Sun Tavern’s.
Running from 6pm until midnight, a Cèilidh band will also soundtrack the night followed by a DJ set playing throwbacks to classic gigs at Ireland’s Slane Castle (think David Bowie, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, & Bruce Springsteen to name a few).
The creation of Irishmen Sean Muldoon and Jack McGarry, The Dead Rabbit is a world-renowned Manhattan drinking den, having nabbed the top spot for World’s Best Bar in 2016 and at Tales of The Cocktail in 2015.
Those who can’t make the London Cocktail Week event can rest easy as the special collaborative menu (priced at £6 a cocktail) will stay on at The Sun Tavern in conjunction with their monthly Whiskey Wednesday series throughout October.
Tipples include The Dead Rabbit’s ‘God Is A DJ’ (Toasted Sesame infused Slane Irish Whiskey, Pale Cream Sherry, Banana Syrup, Maple Syrup, Lemon, Cinnamon & Dale De Goff Pimento Bitters) accompanied by The Sun Tavern’s ‘The Sham Rocker’ (Slane Irish Whiskey, Amontillado Sherry, Lemon, Gooseberry, Elderflower & Umbrella Brewing Ginger Beer).
