- Look up into the central chandelier as it represents a perfect diamond smash, again in homage to the robberies committed by the Forty Elephant gang.
Forty Elephants has had so much care and thought put into it’s theming that as soon as you arrive we’d suggest asking a member of staff about the preparation for both the interior design and the menu. Long story short for the purpose of this review – there was a terrifying gang of thieving women back in the 18th century and as this bar is set within what was Great Scotland Yard – they’re paying homage to all forty of said gang members. Stealing’s not nice, we know - but these women seem kinda bad ass. The drinks list is inventive and unusual. The garnishes are flamboyant and fun. As always, we’d suggest trying to get a seat at the bar so you can appreciate the craftsmanship from the bartenders and hear the stories behind each drink.
